1 Year In

Technically my 1-year anniversary of ownership was yesterday but I was too busy watching the Vikings beat the Packers. So ya know, priorities.

I thought about waiting until Friday to post this, as it's a good Friday thread. But I'll be busy on Friday so here it is.

Now onto the meat of the thread, 1 year in, driven roughly 25,000 miles in that time frame and no issues so far. Looking back I could have saved a lot of money and bought an SR/SR5 as I've upgraded everything else in this truck, but I didn't expect to be doing much. I was originally planning on new wheels and tires and a tonneau cover. Instead I have done a lot more (can just click on my build thread link below, don't have to read it just look over the amount of things I changed).

I blame this forum. And my lack of impulse control. Bad combo.

Anyways, love the truck, love/hate these forums and now I'm looking at slim aluminum bumpers because. Just because. I have no reason to get it. Just because.

Happy belated birthday! And I was just as excited as you were (I'm a Cowboys fan) to see the cheese heads lose.

I too am like you, I got sucked into this site and spent $5k more than I wanted to spend on "upgrading" my truck. (See pictures in my photo album)

P.S. I have the slim line bumper on my truck. Totally worth it. I've achieved the "cool" factor that I wanted.

 

I hit 2 years last week. Got a SR. First month installed better tires, and a Diamondback cover. Lots of little mods, but that's about it.

Truck was $31k, tires were $800. and DB cover was $1400. Only have 32k miles, and runs better than new. Zero issues, and off roaded 3x per week.
