Roof Basket Question

I wanted to utilize my old roof rack basket, so I finally put it on. My question here would be... Any others have one on? And anyone with it on, having a moon roof... Are you experiencing terrible wind noise?

I'm wondering if others have this; experiencing the wind noise, have you possibly re-positioned the basket to elivate the sound.

I really want to use it, but dang... I can't open my moon roof without a deafening whistle. As-well as a whistle sound if I open my windows.

Try a wind deflector in front of the sun roof.

 

Oddly enough - I built some simple cross bars that made a lot of wind noise, until I added the basket. Now the set up is extremely quiet. I don't have a moon roof but no noise with the windows open except for the normal wind noise cause of them being open. It is all trial and error. Most baskets seem to incorporate a wind deflector in the front.

 

I was thinking about that as-well. But, I didn't want to start buying items, if it's not going to resolve the issue? Thank you.
