Mine I'm sure is but IDK how much..very little. Though in my case it's not because of the frame, it's replacing all the worn out shocks/struts/coils/leafs.

Could be the placebo effect too. Over that 3 months I drove a 2020 Chevy Malibu, a 2019-20 Nissan Frontier, and a 2014 Rav4. All different heights..the Rav is my wife's so I would take it periodically over the summer as she wasn't driving for a bit

While my truck is a 6 lug. The new springs Toyota put on, we’re higher at first. About 6 months in they had settled in. Maybe 1/2-3/4”.

I’m sure I helped bring them down buy towing quite a bit.

My truck just had the frame replaced under recall, and I just noticed that it makes this weird "chicka chicka chicka" noise under acceleration and while braking; It only does this when I'm going slower, and this is often accompanied by a sound like the edges of two sharp knives being scraped together.

I described the symptoms to my coworker and he said it sounds like my ball bearings might be wearing out; I described the symptoms to my mechanic and he thinks it might be the backing plates for the brakes. I've got an appointment on Monday to bring the truck to the dealer that did the frame replacement, and if it turns out that the dealer isn't behind this I've got an appointment with my mechanic on Tuesday...

The truck accelerates and brakes just fine, there are no warning lights on, and an inspection of the underside of the truck revealed nothing out of place like something hanging or loose; A check under the hood also revealed nothing amiss.

As stated above, the noises are not constant, and the truck does not give the impression of being unsafe to drive.

I would check the backing plates for the brakes for the metal on metal sound. I’m pretty sure mine are making some contact somewhere and making a similar noise when braking

    I agree with this guy.

That’s the first place I’d go.
I believe they had the rear axle out in one of your pic?
If they set it on the ground , the backing plate may have gotten bent.

    It happens.
Any time you undertake a job as big as a frame replacement, things are going to happen.
I feel quite sure they can find it. They will likely put it on a lift and run the truck in gear.
They’ll get a good idea pretty quick.

    It will be ok:thumbsup:

The bolt that holds the exhaust manifold on.
It broke on its own, due to a warped manifold.
    It’s a fairly common problem.
