I loved my Jeep. It was the hardest decision of my life to let it go, but alas, I needed the functionality of a pickup truck. I also love Toyota...have had an FJ Cruiser, a few Corollas, a RAV4, a Tercel (going way back)... The Tacoma was a no-brainer for me. Got a decent deal on a new 2022 model, so here I am. I am putting that bed to use every day. Love the Tacoma.

Cost. The Gladiator was my first look when pricing out pickups. Maybe it's because the Gladiators are a new model, but for comparable specs the Gladiator was around $15K more than the Tacoma. As I no longer do any serious off-roading, and I'm closing on retirement, I couldn't see dropping that much extra coin just to have a Jeep.
