Which bumper did you go with for the rear?

I am debating switching my front bumper. I have a full hoop plate now but thinking hybrid front regular hoop or low hoop or convince someone to do all 3 hoops :anonymous: Need to shed some lbs for this LT setup that needs to go on.:woot:

Oh nice! Another good upgrade! I got the dual BAMF with all the fixins! Super excited for it. I want to add headlight hoops to my aluminum plate front. Just trying to find a local who can bend and burn em on.

I SWEAR I recall that all 05-15 DT shorties were CA smog legal for a period of time. So were the JBAs. And all of a sudden they weren't anymore and only the 05-11 were legal. I was so sure that I combed thru the CARB database looking for it but I gave up.

@XPOTRPR are you still planning to come through the Bay Area (NorCal)?

You guys must have that confused for the Tacoma/ FJ/ T4R TRD intake and a gaff in their verbiage that said 05-11 in one document and then said in another that it was 05 - 2013's.

They were never legal for Tacoma's.

Seems that way but their instructions and even some posts way back in 2013 from them seem to tell otherwise but yah not much we can do until they change it if they ever do. AT least they still make them. JBA said F U were done.

Now the $100k question is whether a CA smog tech can tell the difference between a DT shorty header and a JBA shorty.

If you really want to be "visually convincing"..... procure any used JBA header and scavenge the "JBA" name plate that is spot welded to the primary tube(s). Now spot weld that badboy onto your DT header. And then go to a custom sticker guy and have them re-create that official "Pertronix" sticker but with CARB EO# D-57-30 or D-57-33

wham...bam....thank you ma'am. Now you have yourself a set of CARB legal jba headers for the '12-15 4.0L 1GR-FE.

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
Next trip will get some video and more pics. Was enjoying myself too much and there were kids with us so stopping to fiddle with cameras and making passes for the 'gram. I'm really excited to see it doing it's thing from the outside!

    Hey everyone! Been a while.

4.0L coil prototypes have finally been completed and tested after no shortage of set backs and material delays. Full scale production is now moving and we expect stock this spring.
