    The license plate bracket?

I used a bit of extra aluminum bar from Home Depot, I think they come in 2 foot sections.

I lined up the lower plate mounting holes with the holes in the plastic part of the bumper, and drilled a hole through the part of the alu bar that lined up with the metal part of the bumper, and put two short self tapping screws through it.

I used a bumper plate thingy from Amazon to hold everything together:

I used the same stuff to mount my light bar:

Looks great! I have a 99’ and want to do the same. Can you tell me the size of your light bar and where you got it, and a little bit on how you mounted it?

I've had it now a few years and no problems. It's super bright. And yea, I just made a few L brackets and mounted it between the frame.

Honestly mine is a China cheap one. I've had it almost 4 years without a problem. It's is bright enough to light up a whole road a football field length for $42.

I'm doing this exact project. What kind of hardware, nuts/bolts did you use to connect the light bar to the crash bar?

I went same placement but I cut the bars out and opened up the hole to mount it flush and the flood is 50 times better

That looks great! I installed it. Mine was a 22" Auxbeam. Everything looks great. I cut out a solid amount from the valence so that none of the light bar was covered. I'm happy how it came out.

I didn't realize I could reach in from the outside of the crash bar to put the bolts into the pre-existing holes facing up. That's where my initial confusion came from. I added lock nuts and washers. The OEM toggle switch fits perfectly into the stock port to the left of my steering wheel. After some work with a utility knife. :)

I'm headed up to Lone Pine in April. Will be the first time I use it out on the trail. Can't wait.
