Are these rust bubbles behind the vinyl? Truck has 49,000 miles, garage kept, no rust anywhere else. Factory paint and vinyl. On passenger side back door B pillar. Would I still be under Toyota factory warranty with 49,000 miles? Possible fix?20211123_130417.jpg

Won't be able to tell it is truly rust, until vinyl is pulled. Warranty only covers rust through. Rear on it.

Ya I'll likely peel it off. Just seeing if it's worth going to the dealership, have them do it, if there's a chance they'll warranty it.

I've had the truck since new in 2017, these bubbles only appeared in the past month, if that. Whatever it is, it wasn't there before. I looked in the door jam and there is no leaks or rust there.

Wow that’s really weird, almost looks like your kid attacked it with a BB gun. Like others have said, I’d swing by the dealership and see if they have any suggestions. Short of that I agree with pulling the sticker off and repair the damage.

Never look to a dealership for help if you have ANY other alternative. Their concern is not to save you money or make you feel better, their only job is to extract cash from your wallet.

Peel the vinyl off yourself and then deal with what you find. There's a good chance there is nothing wrong underneath and the cheap vinyl just bubbled from contact with cleaning liquids and sunlight.

I would be shocked if whatever you find is A. Really bad or B. Repaired under Warranty

It almost looks like something is just stuck to the vinyl. You could try a light clay bar to see if it comes off. Just be careful as it might scratch or lift the vinyl.
