Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences, opinions and suggestions.

I went to a shop and explained the situation.
The guy inspected the shocks and said they're not broken or leaking. Asked about the tire air pressure. After I said 32psi. He said, for BFG KO2, E rated 10ply. That's under inflated. Bump it up to 60psi.

I said, won't that make it harsher. He said I have 30 years of experience, try that first. I could easily sell you parts and take you business, but we don't run our business like that and don't rip off people.

So I bumped it to 55psi.
Noticed the steering was softer. The 60-70 mph highway vibration was gone (steering). The shiggy wiggy movement of the truck was reduced by a big margin. Highway ride has improved a lot, street ride has improved too, but still a bit harsh from high psi. I will run with 55 for a week and then drop to 50 then 45 to compare differences.

    I'll share updates

You probably should have led with what tires you have. It’s the Es that are making your “suspension” feel so rigid, 100%. You want a soft ride, there’s noting like buying some Es to kill that idea. Some SLs will make an enormous difference.

    Yeah, I bet.
Not much experience with truck tires, so I just bought these tires for looks lol. Didn't know about the rating differences.
I used to drive a sedan, and I looked at speed ratings for those.

Oh man! Then mine are over inflated.

On my last short trip, I saw the trip average at 25mpg!!!. Never seen it above 19 or 20.
Best I've gotten on a tank is 18.5mpg lol

55psi sounds like too much. Check the recommendation of your tire manufacturer based on your truck’s weight and your tire size. I run my 255/85r16 E loads at 37psi per those recommendations. LT (light truck) tires are designed for a large range of air pressure and loads.

Ditch the Es you’ll be happier. When I was younger used to run aggressive mud tires, (also used to wheel a bunch too) now that I am older, now want a better ride and fuel economy. Have owned trucks since I had my license for the last 35 years…almost bought a Subaru instead this go around, but still need a truck occasionally so the Tacoma won out.

Have been running Yokohama Geolander A015 SL, they ride fairly smooth and quiet, kinda of an in-between a street tire and an aggressive AT. They see a lot of gravel and dirt roads and do very well, surprisingly well.

Tacomas ride fairly smooth, if the rumors are true the 4th Gen might be getting a linked rear, should ride even better.

Yeah, I might have to do that.
I hope that rumor is true!

I run just plain old 265/70 16 goodyear adventure a/t tires at 29 psi. The ride in my sr5 with the stock firestones were a bit harsh and jiggly on the highway at 70 mph, but switching to slightly larger tires and a bit lower psi is noticeably better.

Couple years ago bought a set of take offs that had street orientated tires on them, ran those waiting for my ATs to come in, and realized I like the ride over how they looked. So found something inbetween since I run a lot of Forest Service roads.

Yeah, I may trade in when the 4th Gen comes out, which is unlike me, tend to keep my stuff for a long time. The rumors around the next generation sound good, hybrid, boxed frame, linked rear.
