I’m looking to level my 05 TRD off-road with bilstein 5100 using stock coils. Can I just change the front or do I need to get shocks for the back? Do I need to change anything else or will there be no vibrations? Any info would be appropriated. I’m new to this so I’m still trying to figure it out. What would be a level setting? Thanks

If using stock height rear springs, put circlip one notch up on both sides. Yes, new shocks front and rear recommended. Leveling will NOT promote vibrations.

Thanks for the info. I only have 87k miles on the shocks. You think all four is wise?

My last set of 5100’s, the drivers’ rear puked oil at 80k. I replaced all 4 so the shocks were equal all around, all were fresh. I think it helps performance, especially on a live axle.

Did you install them yourself or have a shop do it? What can I expect a shop to charge?

Took a shop an hour to swap springs and mounts for the front. I did the removal of stock and installation of the 5100’s. Removal and install all in, 3 hours. Call your shop for hourly rates.
