uh... 255 is very much narrower than a 285.

Correct. I'm not sure what's even being debated at this point.

This is a excellent idea. I prefer trying to keep my mpg with a lift and bigger tires. Narrow the better. This is my daily driver

It looks way better with spacers. I can upload another pic in a bit. Drinking coffee and not doing shit right now, feels nice

Torn on the spacers myself, but would like to see the comparison. Hard to improve on the stance in these first two pics. I’ve always liked the OR wheels and this combo really fits the rig ideally.

currently running 255/75/17 on FJ steelies with my first gen and really like the stance, but wanting something a little taller on my third gen build and think this is the way I will go.

My bad guys, looked right over that part. So used to seeing the skinny size as 255/80r17 it threw me off from the start. Thought it was load range or something like that, next time I'll slow down and read better
Edit: did find the 10.50s in load range E/10 ply though, 60$ more a tire!

Just moved to 255/80/17. Have minor rubbing on the front fender liner that I need to fix.

For anyone wondering... On my 2nd gen I was able to beat down one of the metal tabs where the spare goes and then deflate the tire. After that, it fits in the spare area with a full finger in between the exhaust pipe's heatshield.

Does anybody have any experience with Mastercraft CXT tires? Just found these the other day in a 255/85/16 and they are 33.15" tall and 10.4" wide, basically the same width as the tires that come with the Pro and like 2" taller. I think they look pretty damn good.
