We have to find a home for a whole pile of stage cabinets. I laid them out in this room but was then told that the room wasn't drawn correctly (thanks, previous guy!) so I had to go take a bunch of measurements. Now hopefully everything lays out right when I start to draw it up.

For reference, this is what the room looks like. o_O

How much room was between the fume hood and that column? That would piss me off having to work in that hood with a column that close!

The face of the column is 67" away from the wall then there's a footing that sticks out another 5". Assuming it's a 36" deep hood, that leave you 26". Obviously not ideal!

And it should come as no surprise that the room is more or less the right shape in CAD but the dimensions are all off. To the tune of I'm not sure what I need to adjust. The door going into the room is in a bearing wall so it can't really move. The other walls aren't load bearing but moving those shrinks the steam tunnel which I didn't measure but it's really the only thing that can be adjusted.

The green lines are based off of the measurements I just took. I should be used to this since it's pretty normal for a building built in 1910 but it still sucks.

    Capture.jpg

Wrapping all the way around the room, I end up 7/8" away from my start point, which all things considered isn't too bad. That probably just killed you machinists with your .001" accuracy.

True! Thing is, the same Uncle gave him a previous generation some years ago and friend sold it because he couldn't fit in it to drive. I forget how tall he is but guessing 6 foot 6 maybe.
I asked him if he fit in this one and he said he didn't know yet but some research shows ways to gain some legroom.
Feel bad for him losing a family member but glad that the fortune wasn't left to the national humming bird society. He's (friend)worked pretty labor intensive life to provide for his family, been married to his HS sweetheart since 1987 or '88
    I should remember best man n all:anonymous:

I test drove a Tundra on my way home from work today, lifted on m/t's pretty much how I would want it. Price wasn't crazy. The interior is massive compared to the Taco. Computer said 9.0 miles per gallon . The undercarriage had considerable corrosion which made me question if it was always a Florida truck. Sales guy was insistent it's always been a Florida truck.

Carfax said he registered and insured it in Florida but worked in Montana. Corrosion makes sense now

Salt air & beaches can corrode an undercarriage almost as well as road salt!

I would definitely agree as my first thought was the guy had an ocean boat and never bothered to spray it off when hes finished. But the mileage and the dates say he worked winters up north. Maybe a combination of both, summers boating here and winters working there. Maybe I'm gunshy knowing what others have gone through getting framework done...

Assuming it's the 5.7L, even though I only get 18-19 mpg in my tacoma usually the 12-15 mpg at best my buddy gets in his tundra has persuaded me against one so far. The space inside is incredible though, as with most full sized trucks.

I’d love a deal on a decent surface grinder. It would help me make my scrap parts look nicer in the bin.

I worked 6 hours today, but got paid for 8. Wish I could have taken today off, though.

Word has it that no one is going South next year for outage support so that means if I want OT this Spring then I need to get on board and plan of Michigan. Actually it will still be winter, but cold here too...soooo:burnrubber:

Got leaves up twice so far this month, lot more to do soon enough. One tree in the front has almost dropped them all, the other one has a lot left.

Goodmorning crew. I think my leaf cleaning updays are about done. There's one maple with a few leaves on it but not much. If I do anything it will probably be just get up on the roof one more time to blow the gutters out.
    Have a good day everyone.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I gave up on looking at mileage numbers I have Trucks that work and 4x4 if I wanted mileage I would have a Moped .

The only time I really get concerned is when I watch the fuel gauge drop from full to 1/4 tank in about 30 miles that was an exciting day
