I have been "stringing" alignments, on my family cars and trucks, in my home garage for 40 years. The only time I took one for an alignment was after installing Bilsteins on my 2016 Taco and the mechanic said it was in spec and did not charge me. Had to do a few toe jobs from replacing suspension parts as well at straighten some steering wheels by adjusting tie rods. The only car I could not fix was a Lancer Ralliart my son bought that had previous rear damage. Even maxed out I could not straighten that rear wheel. I did take a few years of auto tech in the mid to late 1970's including front end training on old BEAR alignment equipment and worked at a dealer for a while. Have not worked as a "mechanic" since 1978 but I have saved thousands and thousands of $$$ doing my own repairs. Just don't have patience for body work.

So I'm gonna blame you for the fact that I ordered both the toe plates and the cam delete kit today. Hahaha
    Saved 10 and 15% respectively.

You ever do any wrenching parties or get togethers? Just trying to find members to engage with.

I normally work on the truck by myself, but am always down to work on other trucks. I wheel with a few friends but we all have jobs where we work out of town most of the time which makes it hard.

Does anyone know a good kind of mount for bed for spare that can give me this result?
Im either going to have to ditch tailgate or conpletely rework these mcneil bedsides to get my tailgate to close. Not a big deal truck is nothing more than a toy and mulch hauler when needed. My wife suggested a skeleton type tailgate that swings open. Something like that I could easier modify to fit instead of grinding on my mint tailgate. Any suggestions?

As far as aligning with the plates I did it like the following picture. Two tape measures and just adjust until you get equal measurements.

I really want to install my suspension set up myself so I can learn about it, but I need people who know way more than me so I don’t screw it up. Otherwise I’m going to pay someone to do it. Was looking like March time frame. Was considering a wrenching party but I’m like you, and work a lot so I don’t really know to many local TW members.

I’m down to be there to guide you in the right direction if need be. No need to pay at all either and that way you will learn and know how to do it/upgrade in future. Just need a couple week advance and I’ll be able to make it for sure.

That is simple and very functional. Add a bubble or digital inclinometer and caster and camber could be a breeze to dial in. I may end up making one similar. Is that one steel.

Caster/camber is all fixed with the taco tab kit. I set it for max to clear the 35’s better. Max in the rear of the arms and neutral in the front in the taco tabs.
