Oh yeah eh…..can you even say that when we share half the same parts and you have upgraded most of your third gen? Other then the tundra rack you have our trucks are mostly the same minus the electrical problems you have had (dash lights for a loose license plate light?). :fenforcer::brianr::smack::duel:

our frames don’t rust ;) and interior looks like it’s from this century not from the 1800s :headbang: and don’t even need to remind you about going further and longer without stopping at every gas station on the way ;)

using luxury and fuel mileage to discuss the better gen truck eh. Would you like to discuss 30” rims, rear lowering kits with front lifts next?

Maybe you would love to tell us where one would get the best black Friday deal on Starbucks….Common now….

should we discuss aesthetics wraps of fenders perhaps to match the current trd pro…..

I brought you there in confidence. It was @Joe23 fav spot he showed me. Just passing the torch.

Yeah, I got tired of fixing it after off-roading it so I made it so undependable now it just looks good in the driveway.

Sorry pal :notsure:I have to disagree with that even though I’m running a fake third GEN badge!

I must agree with this because those fancy ass 2016+ models have too many electric gizmos that can fail :boink:

And I was under impression that besides ECU (single module behind glove box), 2nd and 3rd gen were close to the same with electronics...

This set is in Alberta warehouse and has been there for almost two years...

Safe to bet it's the last one they'll ever have

    Where’d you learn that?

Thousand bucks ish for four new ones doesn’t seem bad. Seeing as people resell for more.

I love those wheels and have a set that I got from @pete37
When I was searching for them, I called most dealers in ON and a few in NYS. In US they were available, in Canada this was the only set and no dealer was willing to even search for the black ones I was after...

it’s funny it actually was an add that popped up on my Kijiji as I was searching Kijiji for these same wheels. Every time I call my local dealer then can’t comprehend and tell me that they don’t make and I can’t get these wheels anymore and haven’t been able to for a long time.

so I thought I was always SOL and had to pay reseller prices

I do think there are many similarities between the electronics. However, because of certain systems like the active cruise, the different off-road modes, electronic brake booster there are obviously more sensors and more things to go wrong. The fact @Norilsk truck went into limp mode because of a disconnected license plate light is wild to me.

Electric brake booster exists in 2nd gen, know your history :boink:

it’s called incomplete circuit, I can short your truck in the similar way using your tail lights if needed ;) bulb isn’t a problem, but lack of resistance for the connector. You can drive without bulbs fine, just need to make sure connectors aren’t unplugged.

if anyone thinks those trucks have too much electronics you haven’t seen current offerings on the market, our trucks pretty much basic. Wire diagrams are super easy to read and bypass/trick.
