I’d stick with the taco, but I’m a native Oregonian who likes real trucks, that ford made me barf in my mouth :puke:

    The Tacoma is my choice.

    I don’t want a CVT Transmission.
And in order to get a “regular” geared transmission, you have to get the 2.5 EcoBoost.
    And I don’t want a 2.5 EcoBoost.

    Happy Friday to you too:cool:

The Maverick will probably be perfect for a lot of people. Just like the Honda Ridgeline. Or the El Camino and Ranchero from back in the day. They fill a role, just not the role I need to fill.

I know this is the Tacoma forum, but between a Tacoma and Ranger it is a tougher choice. I like a lot about the Ranger.

Agree with the others, ford hands down. Great looking truck that is sure to turn heads, out with the old in with the new

Smooth and true reply. There is a market for the Nissan thing, Ridgeline, and Maverick.
Very urban with light duty requirements I can see it and would accept the driver into the 'Truck' species of driver.

The Ranger does have a lot of nice stuff on it, I looked at it... but the small Turbo engine in my opinion is a set of problems
waiting to happen if you tow or haul a lot of stuff. And well, Ford... Fix Or Repair Daily ... or backwards... Driver Returns On Foot.

For me the Tacoma was a great fit. No need for a F-150 or a Tundra or a Silverado.

There is a market for these smaller trucks. I suspect Ford and Nissan and Honda know what they are doing.

I saw an El Camino recently that had been restored…I appreciate them more now then back in the day. Pretty sweet actually.
