HVAC knobs replaced by small buttons on the side. Downgrade for sure.

I upgrade mine to a boss and I only listen to sermons and some music so it isn't worth for me also. If I would of seen it first I would of probably bought it

Been following the other thread. Will be buying this once/if upgrades are made to it, or a more reliable manufacturer steps in to produce em

Just duck tape an iPad to your dash and call it a day. But in all seriousness, been following that other thread as well and overall like the concept, however, I'm leery of the current offering for a multitude of reasons.

These units make sense in vehicles that utilize touch screens with integrated HVAC settings where it is near impossible to swap in a clean standalone stereo. They don’t really make sense in a vehicle that has perfectly good manual hvac knobs and the ability to easily swap in a large double din or one of the oversized kenwood/alpine/etc. especially for the current steep price tag.

At the end of the day it really comes down to personal choice, what you want or like and dislike. Personally for me I have had both the Seicane and Dasaita head units and both definitely had issues and didn’t work right and had to be returned. I really wanted the bigger screen and this one fit the bill for my needs. It works as described and the climate control function is again a personal choice of what you like or not.

There's another company that makes tesla style units for the Tundra with the option to keep manual knobs, unfortunately they don't yet have one for the Tacoma

I have one. If I could have had a chance to see and screw around with one for a bit I probably would have gone a different direction but as updates keep coming hopefully the issues get worked out
