    I added a bolt once...
    Fruit Cake... the right way
Haters might like this one - https://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/patricias_holiday_fruitcake/
It is a delicious recipe, a very heavy dense, fresh tasting loaf

    Changes I use:
    - 1 cup of Greek yogurt in place of sour cream
    - dried sweetened cranberries instead of nasty cherries
    - fresh Oregon Hazelnuts in place of walnuts.. walnuts are very good though
    - note, do not ignore the orange zest ingredient... Very key, and go big!

Oh I could get with the Hazelnut in place of walnuts... Looks awesome... You ever try deep frying them (fruit cake not nuts)?

My wife and I went to a Thai restaurant that we've attempted to go to a few times and have struck out. It might just be my new favorite restaurant in town.

Neither of us has had Sake before, and I understand this is Sake Sake since it's infused but it was very good.

I ordered "Volcano chicken" which is tempura chicken with broccoli, carrots (there was more than what is in the picture but I was too hungry and forgot to take a picture first) and spinach with sweet and spicy garlic chili sauce. Absolutely amazing.

My sushi guy has become a sake sommelier. He's always got something new. The cold sake is where it's at! Many of these taste like nothing more than gatorade and can be dangerous in quantity. (Yay!)

I don't know what I was expecting sake to taste like but the Fuji apple was basically flavored water. At least it was only 8%.

Reminds me of a similar place that would do sake bombs. The waitress would drop a shot of sake into a draft beer for you while slamming her fist on the table and scream "SAKE BOMB!!" :D

We had a bunch of apples that we would have needed to toss them so my wife made some apple bake of some kind.

One good thing is they freeze well, so if you make a big batch freeze them for later. Then you can reaheat by steaming if you have time or microwave works ok too. Really is good and worth the work
