Thanks for your feedback, after looked around, I think N-fab light bar mount may do the trick to install round light bar on the oem bumper. I see a lot of Tacomas with light bars on the front bumper but usually hidden behind the grill or aftermarket bumper though. not many tacomas with round lights.

 

I just ordered a set of clear BD s2 sport wide cornering that will be mounted to my bed rack. I bought amber covers to serve as a chase light when wheeling but removable when setting up camp. I’m sure it has been done just what to get a little more info on the set up. Thank you

 

I do a similar setup with S1's with my 4runner.

Has there been any peeps about Black Friday sales yet? I want to get a pair of flush mount s1's to add to my rear bumper (not pictured obviously).

 

@Baja Designs posted supposedly “brand new technology” red bezeled lights they call BD X on Instagram. Someone asked what the new technology was and I replied just the red bezels cause it looks like the same old reflector bucket light to me, I also said while I love and have many BD lights they’re pod lights are getting dominated by diode dynamics.

pretty sure @Baja Designs banned me cause I can’t even search them on Instagram now. Pretty thin skinned don’t you think? Can’t handle the truth apparently?

 

Looking at S2s for the space in my 2001 Tacoma Bumper which currently have other lights. should I be looking at the sports? Can they be mounted with the bracket facing up and if so can the log be flipped on the front face? Also Can I use my existing wiring? thanks

Put a pair of S1 spots as my a-pillar lights. still need to get them, but so far they seem pretty sweet. install was pretty easy, even considering that it was me installing them LOL.

 

Current wiring setup. With ignition on, backlights come on and light bar only comes on when the switch is activated. Recently read that there can be issues when both the backlight and light bar are on. Has anyone else hear/read this? Anyone see any issues with my wiring setup?

Had my baja s1 mounted in my hitch
Good thing I had a lockable hitch pin..
But.....
My S1 no longer works..
They cut the wire and ripped it right out of the back of the S1..

Oh no. So bad news, this type of damage is not covered under warranty. Good news, we can still get it repaired for you at a nominal cost. The best approach would be to call our customer service line a 800-422-5292 so they can get a repair logged in.

 

@Baja Designs What is the lead time on the 40" S8 combo in amber?

Unfortunately we will no longer be offering any on-going discounts like the 10% off forum code. As of January 2022 Baja Designs and all authorized retailers will sell BD products at MSRP pricing, no longer permitting the 10% discounts that were allowed under our old MAP policy.

While it sounds crappy up front, this is the best way for us to keep the marketplace fair for our dealers and customers. If you guys have more questions just let me know.

Following! Trying to do the same with a pair of lp6’s. N FAB makes a bar that attaches to stock bumper, however I don’t want to obstruct my 30” s8 hidden light bar.

Rigid Lights has a sweet viewer where you can choose the light size and lens combo and see how it lights up the landscape. Looks like they set up a camera on a tripod and just swapped out lights so you could see how it illuminates everything. I think this would be awesome to have for the BD website! It would have saved me a lot of money and allowed me to choose the correct light from the get go. Any plans for BD to add something like this to their site?
