    Watched the same little 5 point today. Then heard the longest, deepest grunt I’ve ever heard in the woods. Grabbed my gun and popped the safety off. Had a buck run a doe about 100 yards to my right. Never could see what he was, but saw them running. Grunted and got them to stop, right behind a tree of course. Then they took off. :facepalm:

    Nice Deer Everyone:thumbsup:. our regular season went out Saturday. had a shooter 8pt in range on last day. crap, had broken both points off his left side. let him walk.my scent was good this year. never got busted once. he walked 7 yds from my ground blind. never knew i was there or didnt care. lol. think im more excited than my oldest son. he is headed to ILL. for a late muzzle hunt in a couple weeks.i never had the pleasure to go on a hunt out of state. suppose to be a good one. bud in our lease is a hunting consultant for some outfitters. a few of our guys have been there. quality hunt not overhunted.had a cancelation and the boy took it. I told him to show them how we throw lead in VA. lol

    I was watching a hunting show Sunday night and they were hunting in Oklahoma, they put out some sort of bait. The host was talking about some states don't allow it and some people are against it. He said "have you ever tried to catch a fish without a worm on the hook?" :D

    I am not against baiting, I know some say it's not "hunting" but it's legal here. If you shoot a buck chasing a doe, isn't that hunting with bait? :anonymous:

    I think baiting is only a cultural difference. East vs west really. I don't look down on those that bait but its not my first choice clearly. If I grew up in a state that allowed it and I was around it I would probably do it.

    But lets get down to the nitty gritty.. Lets talk about those "hunters" who run dogs and call it hunting...

    @JKO1998

    Lol just joking

    Baiting deer is fun as shit, I would 100% still do it if they hadn’t outlawed it last year

    I grew up hunting and not baiting, don't think we could then. All we had were oak trees to hunt. There also weren't many deer around then.

    I love deer hunting with dogs, haven't done that in 15 years though :D
