Any recommendations for a reputable/reasonable shop in the East Valley that can swap out the CV axle needle bearing for a clamshell bushing would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Looking into the same thing. Talked to the dealership here and was told they install the ECGS bushing on all their lifted trucks. They quoted me a price of $800.

I am a very simple human
I deliver packages for a living and have zero mechanical skill.

I watched ecgs videos and ordered their “special” tools with the bushing and did it myself, it was incredibly simple, most time consuming part is getting the cv axel out.

These are simple to install. The link below for the tool works wonders and makes it so much easier to push the cv axle out. You can even twist it with your fingers too. A friend of mine has one and we used it when replacing cv axles.

I ended up buying a spring compressor from O'Reilly's that way its easier to to get the LCA on, but you can rent it too.

Suggestion is to buy an hub bearing assy that's already compressed.

Don’t need to take the Lca off dawg, just pull the brake assembly off the cv axle and tie off to the side, it doesn’t get in your way, no need to remove it
