Anyone done Suicide Hill (White Mountain Trail) in Big Bear?

So I want to try suicide hill, but I read the slope can get up to 55 degrees. I’ve seen a few threads on tacos smoking and or shutting off... anyone ever try it on a third gen? I don’t feel like having it shut off mid way up lol.

Yeah, I found a couple older threads on the topic (just from googling). One said that it shut off only after letting it roll back a bit. He tried the hill again with a little more "gusto" and it didn't stall at all, only when really slow, and letting it roll back did it stall.

Did you find anything about abut the hill?

 

Not really, I won’t be up there until August so I guess we will see. I’ll definitely post up pics on here.

Some parts of this video give a pretty good idea of how steep it looks, but as I’m sure most of us know you can never do a trail justice through a camera. So I can only imagine how steep it is in person. I’ll be up there in late August and I’ll try my best to capture some footage if the engine doesn’t burn or stall on me first

I like how at some point he is holding the Jeep from the sliders to keep it from rolling over haha.

 

Definitely could have been avoided but they got him up without tumbling so you can't ask for much more.

 

I actually did it yesterday in a bone stock 2021 taco trd OR. It was no problem whatsoever, it was a little technical in places, but just hit the locker and youre good to go. Did you end up trying it?
