With the 3rd gens being so popular, it's all I really see in my area anymore, but I still look at my 2015 like the day I drove it off the lot.

I've never been in the "popular" crowd.

Don't see any reason to join now. Also, don't care. My truck suits me and does everything I need it to do.

Shoot, my motorcycle never was popular, but it suits me and puts a big grin on my face.

<edit> I just remembered. My motorcycle is a 1981, its 40 years old. So, its has more life experience than many members on TW. :D:rofl:

The grille and dashboard in the 3rd Gen makes me very happy that I own a 2.5 Gen.

Not as cool as a duramax Colorado but still pretty cool. With Toyota’s I feel like the older they are the cooler they are.

I actually test drove and considered a Ridgeline before I got my Taco. They're a lot more comfortable and feature-filled for the same price, but I felt the drivetrain was lacking.

2.5 gen is one of the sexiest trucks on the road in my opinion.
3rd gen grill is hideous, even with the Pro bandaid. Every time I see one I think Mr. Ed.

No...we never we're cool. Unlike the 3rd gen, our non locking fuel doors and our rear drum brakes doomed us from the get-go.

they must be cool... trucks with over 250,000 miles are now on craigslist for more than they were new... and they're 20 years old!!

Man. I think a clean, lifted 1st Gen still looks amazing. I'm sure our 2nd Gen's will do the same. I like that we have less tech and more useful features.

I think they’re cool. I was originally looking for a used 1st or 2nd gen when I decided to get a Tacoma. However, I live in the rust belt and with such high resale values I ended up talking myself into a new third gen.

The new models become the next “cool” thing but people who truly like these trucks and Toyotas in general will find nostalgia and appreciation for the older models. Your average driver though could care less as long as they have a comfy seat and 4 moving wheels.

This. My 2wd regular cab isn't "cool" for off road, towing, etc..but it does everything I need from it. If my needs change then I'll reassess.

Plus, I find it tough to get rid of a paid off vehicle with 120K that I know has been well maintained and has a branny new frame and suspension this year.
