I was diggin around at my local u put it yard looking for a luggage rack for my camper shell and found a trans cooler off a highlander and for 8 bucks i grabbed it. It looks factory but the vehicle was wrecked so i got to test if it leaks. I then started looking on YouTube to see how to install it. The video shows disconnecting from return line at the radiator and the routing it to the bottom of cooler, the out the top and then back to the return line to trans. My question is how to determine which line is from trans and which line is the return line.?

The line coming from the trans will be hotter than the return line.

I've been looking into getting some items from wrecking yards here in AZ. They charge a fee to enter, then you find the truck has been stripped of what I'm interested in. I gave up for now. Nothing really needed, just wanted for future projects. Best of luck to you on getting that cooler hooked up correctly.

Here is the rack mounted. I actually went back and bought a second on to disassemble and ad 2 more cross members so it will now have 4. I called the dealership and got a price for them to install cooler and set the fluid level. They said 600 bucks and i said what the "heck", so i will be mounting and setting the fluid level myself. 6B727135-7620-4405-A461-5D04B7932C1E.jpg
