I bought a Tacoma 2021 SR5 and I can find three USB outlets. One Type A USB outlet under the media center console display, one type A USB outlet in the center console, and a type C USB outlet also in the center console.

From interacting with them it seems like both of the outlets in the center console provide power only whereas the one under the media center console display can be accessed by the media center.

For audio, in the media center, I can select multiple inputs such as AM/FM/XM, Bluetooth, and USB (which reads from the mentioned type A USB outlet). However, "USB 2" is also listed as an input source.

I cannot find what corresponds with this "USB 2" input source. Could it possibly refer to an unused input that I could add to the media center? I primarily/exclusively use the front USB outlet for my Android phone (since I can't get Android Auto to work wirelessly). However, I would love to be able to have a thumb drive full of music always connected to the USB 2 input source. Maybe I could run a cable behind the dashboard and install an outlet into the glove box to keep it out of sight?
