image.jpg Forgot to mention this. This is on the Siemens reps work truck! I told him I’d run to wal mart and buy him a new vise and swap with him but he wouldn’t bite.

They're all over at my work, I've got 2 in the machine shop. I forget how much$$$ last time I priced one. If I had to guess, $800.00
I'd like to get a Ridgid pipe clamp for the steel table in the machine shop. Bet they aren't cheap either

The guy said he thought his boss paid either $800 or $900 for it. I just couldn’t imagine buying a nice tool like that and letting it live on the back of a truck to get ruined.

Agree, it is a really nice tool. The Wilton "Bullet" is designed just for the roughest, dirtiest service with a completely enclosed spindle, he couldn't have a better tool for the job than the Bullet.

I have seen hundreds of vices on the back of service trucks, if kept sprayed down with some oil they last ok back there. A solid handy vice saves time on a job and makes money, in the end it is an item that can be written down on the tax forms too.

I see no issue with a vice on the back of the truck. It can handle it just fine.

If it's used, it will work perfectly.

Weak pressure plate? I had a Ford that had a weak one, wasn’t slipping but was giving trouble. 5 hour job with my brother and a friend helping, $450 clutch if I remember correctly.

I used to have a good one mounted on a receiver hitch that I kept inside. It’s now mounted on the back of my welding trailer but lives in the shed most of the time.

Good Monday morning friends! Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and break, if you got one. The one thing I love about thanksgiving is the Friday poop afterward, they don’t get much better than that after eating so much :hattip:

    Good Monday morning. :pccoffee:
Supposed to be 70 degrees out later today. Seems like a very mild start to the winter season here. It's been like 20° above average several days now.
My 5th and last day off today or back to regular schedule until Christmas.
Need to try n be more productive today after yesterday :anonymous:
I've got deer rifle about cleaned and needs put back in the safe. Could straighten the reloading room some too...that sounds like a reasonable start anyway.
