depends on how you wire the add a fuse. You can go directly to the IGN fuse or headlight. For me, my add a fuse is added into the headlight and therefore the raptor lights only come on with headlights on.

It depends on which fuse you plug into.
I chose to use the headlights fuse. This way, they only come on when I turn my headlights on.
(I'm not near the truck right now, so I couldn't tell you the exact fuse location. I'll update once I can give you the exact fuse designation.)

Edit. I notice @tclavell already answered. Thank you, kindly!

I'll include a photo I found. My scribble is the fuse I chose(headlights).

I have the SAE Fog DD SS3 pros and the light cut-off is great, and as pointed out, when aimed properly, does not blind oncoming traffic.

I think most scratches will disappear after you put one on as well. I know mine did.

I have those lights too and they're still really bright even when they're properly aimed. The max has a sharper cut and I’m planning on upgrading to those soon.

just got a confusing call from Uptop. Ordered their wiring harness set-up for the scenepods + lightbar. They called to asked me how I wanted the wiring to route it into the cab. I didn’t realize there was any other option then A-pillar/windshield weatherstripping route!? They recommended “c pillar” option because I wouldn’t need to “drill a hole” into the cab. This whole conversation threw me for a loop. Can’t really imagine how this will work now :boom:

anyone have ideas or thoughts on this? Is there such a thing as the BEST way? Photo examples are always welcome

Ordered- Alpha Rack, with color matching (inner) plate. 4 lights/scenePod, extreme LED 40” lightbar.

I got the same thing from them and the shop that I had do the install didn’t want to drill into my cab so they modified the harness that I got and ran it down the A pillar.

yeah, called them back and requested the A-pillar option, as it’s the most tried and true. Gonna try to run it down through the firewall using this…

we’ll see how it all goes. If anyone has experience drilling and installing a grommet. or other A pillar ideas. Photos!

Had a busy Sunday! I had originally installed a Spiker Engineering strut for my hood on only one side (a friend gave me his second one). But as it's gotten colder, it hasn't held up, so I ordered a 100# strut from LiftSupportDepot.com and snapped that into place and now my hood lifts itself into position and it's amazing. (I shot a video but can't upload it here :(. ).

Then! I went down the rabbit hole and installed heated seats!!!! Clazzio pads under the fabric. The best and only good wiring instructions I could find came from here https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...tacoma-lots-of-pictures.503611/#post-15720200 by @Singu1arity (thank you!)

I did the wiring first because I knew it would take a while. Had a helluva time finding any ATM-LP add-a-circuits. I want to 5 stores and only got two so tapped the illumination into other buttons wires. Took about 8 hours from shopping to completion and I only finished the driver's side. So right now the passenger button is a placebo. Should be able to do that next weekend.

Also the chairs look like faces, right?

looks pretty dang clean. I’m good with that. Still curious about the drill option though. But I have a morbid fascination with cleaner OEM stylings. It’s not totally healthy

Waiting on parts for my Gen3.... Waiting for my BD spot lights to arrive (out for delivery) and waiting to hear what's the scoop on getting the wrong lights sent to me on my fog light order.... turns out I could have waited until BF for the fogs, since I got them this weekend after ordering them middle of October.

Enjoyed your reupholster details. Helps me recognize my limitations!
