    Whats up TacomaWorld,

Went to the LA Autoshow the other day and saw the new Tundra and thought I'd share some pics. They're actually of a prototype/concept Tundra that Toyota had on the floor but should give you an idea of what one of these trucks could look like with some mods.

Not going to lie seeing it online at first I did not like the looks of this truck but after seeing it in person it has grown on me. Also think it's pretty cool they are offering a hybrid version and the interior looked amazing. Still think the grille is a little too big though.

The truck was locked and I couldn't get the best interior shots but enjoy:

That's sweet, loving the taillights, front bumper, and red seats.

How was the LA autoshow overall this year?
Is it bigger ? Test drives out in the back?

I think the styling looks more like it's from the 5th gen 4runner than from Kia. It also needs a wider track to loose it's hovercraft look

I'm going to be in the market for a new, or newer, full size in about 2 years. If buying a 1/2 ton today I'd go F150, but that will get a serious look in a couple of years.

Wish there was a side shot. From the rear I don't like how how the black of the rear bumper doesn't wrap the sides. Just looks completely off from the back.

Edit:. Maybe it's because it's because the truck is white.

i dont care for how wide the fenders look and then how tight the wheels sit compared. They need to push those wheels out or get rid of the wide fender look.

First thing I noticed too - those are fiberglass/wide fenders though, not the stock look. This is what it would look like normally:

The one from the auto show is going for that wide fender look. You can get them aftermarket for the Tacoma too.

I am a fan of NONE of this. I don't like the wider body, the red interior feels like it's from the 70s :( and last but not least, my biggest gripe, WTF toyota - why are you using red turn signals.

Even in the stock form, it looks like they're using red turn signals. That blend into the brake lights, should be using amber. Even the frontier from 2004 onward made that distinction. WTF - it's not just toyota, but you'd think with toyota's "EVERYTHING WE DO IS FOR SAFETY" they'd give a rip about that.

https://www.truckinginfo.com/159181/amber-rear-turn-signals-are-safer-than-red-but-few-use-them#:~:text=“Then, in 2009, they, identical vehicles with red ones.

edit to add ANOTHER source about the amber turn signals.

That looks terrible with those fibreglass aftermarket fenders and tube bumper. The original article is way better looking than this.

Hate the red interior and the obnoxious TRD PRO stamped on the back. Looks like a cheap knockoff of the 1st gen raptor. This truck has some serious white Oakley energy.

The drive train however is very appealing. A hybrid Taco would be dope

Its a good thing they were not restrained with the giant "Toyota" letters on the grill or the "Trd Pro" in the back as both compliment the gaudy oversized Dodge like grill.

It's not a great looking truck IMO. I'm hoping it will grow on me after seeing one in person as well. Right now its a soft pass.
I've put off trading in my 2010 in hopes that aftermarket front bumpers and grills will be able to mask that hideous front end.

Your picture is the first I've seen of the tailgate. Is it me or does it seem like they are getting their inspiration from RAM? That TRD Pro stamp is ridicules.. I can see the BST ads now. "Want to trade TRD Pro tailgate for TRD OR tailgate"

Due to covid it there was a lot of companies who weren't there compared to last time but still was worth it imo.

not a fan of the tailgate logo or seats but id have to drive one. with a healthy lift and tastful mods i think id like it. with a supercharger it would still be way less than a f-150 shelby.

I can see everyones points of why they don't like it. I was in the same boat and on the fence at first but after seeing it in person it has def grown on me. I thought the same about the third gen Tacoma's too before seeing one in person.

IMO once these start getting off the production line and are on the road, there will be some trim levels with the right mods will look badass but to each their own.
