I’ve searched around and haven’t been able to find anyone describing the noise I’m getting. It sounds like it’s coming from where the windshield meets the front of the dash and started happening today out of nowhere. It’s happened randomly in the past on washboard road but now it’s happening around town. I pressed on the dash and tried stuffing things between the glass and dash but nothing seemed to change it. Here’s a video

any suggestions or help is appreciated!

It is the windshield rubbing on the tabs that position the windshield during installation. It seems to be more prevalent in the winter or cooler weather as things shrink.

I get it at times with my 2012 also. I have learned to ignore it. I don't want to chance a leaking windshield for a small noise.

The cowl tabs can pop out on the earlier (2nd gen) ones, just beneath where meeting he lower portion of the windshield. Lift the hood and make sure that they are all secure.

Ha, I never would have described it as a tick. It sounds like it's coming from the lower portion of the windshield but I guess that could be acoustics. I specifically bought a 2015 because I was hoping they would have worked these sort of things out. I'll read more into this. Thanks!

I'll take a look at this too, would be a much easier fix. Did you have a noise like mine?

    Yes. That did the trick.

Figured I'd update this since it was a stupid fix. I took the truck to a self wash which included blowing all of the leaves out of the windshield wiper/hood area. Noise went away.

After I had to park on the street under a tree the noise came back again last week and sure enough, removing the leaves fixed it. Mildly annoying but a good reminder to wash.
