New member, never had a Taco before. '22 Lunar Rock TRD OR

This is my very first truck and first 'new' vehicle that I've ever purchased! Excited to see what the TW community is all about, and after my wife relaxes from the purchase price, I'll be excited to do lots of mods haha!

I ordered the seat jackers from Desert Does It based on lots of reviews and will install in next couple days. I got the blackout package as well and really like how it looks against the Lunar Rock.

Tint, rock sliders, black wheels, grill guard and more hopefully coming though! Open to suggestions and all advice!

Lots of mods to be had. My advice would be to set a budget, stick to it, and based on your budget prioritize your top 10 things you want to do and/or get. For example, I wanted a topper shell for camping and rock sliders for immediate protection to protect me from myself for offroading. But I also wanted an air compressor to air up after doing trails. So the latter not necessarily a "mod", but a needed accessory.

I have spent about $6k on things with the main items the shell and sliders. Lots of small things.

Personally I have been opting for "functional" things vs. cosmetic things. Both have their place. Cosmetic to me is nice to have, think it looks better, but won't necessarily allow me to do more. I want to do more. I get reminded every day looking in the mirror that looks ain't everything!

Welcome!! I agree with you, the Lunar Rock color looks great with the blackout package! Enjoy the Taco!

 

Nice truck. Did the lunar rock replace the cement color? Looks very similar. Take your time on the mods, wife will appreciate it. Enjoy it.

 

It's all in the lighting really. It tends to look more grey the darker the setting. Light tends to bring out the green hues in my opinion.

Update--put on the seat jackers and it made a huge difference for me!
