I know we all have taco's but does anyone else have a classic or old muscle car they love to drive on Sunday's. If so I'll love to see them and I'm pretty sure everyone else would too. I'll start with mine it's an old 93 Texas state trooper ssp mustang.20210224_181401.jpg

1972 Chevy stepside with a MK IV 454. It was my dad's when I was a kid and it just a small block and bought from the army. Then he upgraded to a 78 and sold this truck to his parents and they fixed it up and turned it into a show truck in the 90s. My grandmother drove it until about 07 when the rear end went out and had been sitting ever since, she was the reason it got the big block out of my granddad's truck...lol. I bought it off my grandmother to help her get into a new car (hers got stolen). Now it'll be an on going project until I die and pass it to my kids. I got it running right before I left for the deployment I'm on right now. Went through just about everything to make it safe and road worthy. Only things left are the rear end (full rebuild with 3.73s and an LSD) of course brake lines, which are all new back to the rear end, since the rear end is actually in my garage torn a part awaiting my return. Lol. I'm itching to get back and get it on the road. I even sold my daily driver Camry to help fund the rebuild and I'll daily this thing as long as it's running.

I do not care about value, it'll never be sold while I'm alive. Too much family history! This was the very truck that I first ever sat behind the steering wheel of and "drove" with my dad almost 30 years ago. Too much sentimental value. I've already been offered 15k by a neighbor before I even got it running, lol. That would triple my investment on just the cost of the truck!

Here's my 01 that I bought new 20 years ago. Was my first car. It's Eaton swapped and makes 440 at the tires. Car is apart right now in my garage for a complete overhaul of the rear suspension. All new poly bushings (there's a bunch!), shocks and a fresh coat of paint since it saw 6 Chicago winters as my DD.

Thanks. I always did too. At the time most of my friends had LS1 F-Bodys so I was the different one.

    Well, it's no WS6, but...

2002 SS SLP #260. One of 263 made in Sunset Orange Metallic in 2002.

Mostly stock, factory slp blackwing intake and slp dual dual exhaust, hardtop. I upgraded the clutch awhile back when the slave cylinder was replaced. It's a monster stage 2 with arp hardware and a tick performance adjustable master cylinder. Eventually, would like to do a Tick Performance SNS or BTR stage 2 or 3 cam with some nice heads, maybe AFR/Trickflow, some 1 7/8 headers, and a Fast 102 intake. Suspension/brake upgrades are on the wishlist too. This one has abs, but no traction control from the factory! It's a driver's car for sure.

I bought this one many years ago to replace a red 2002 35th SS that I shouldn't have traded in. :facepalm:That one had full hotchkis suspension, 243 ls6 heads, ls6 cam, t-tops, 6spd, and upgraded brakes. No pics unfortunately and I've always wondered where that car ended up or if it's even still on the road after all these years.

The gentleman that I bought this one from factory ordered it and then sold it to me after ordering a black 2006 gto.

My 1968 Firebird. It was originally a Ram Air/4-speed/3.90:1 car (one of 376), but had been stolen, joy ridden hard, and stripped sometime in the distant past. I pulled it from a barn in 1998 and it had a 350, an automatic trans, and an open rear end. It was painted bright red, and had mud over lots of body damage. It was not very rusty - for a midwestern car - but they damaged nearly every panel when they stole it. This is the second paint job since we've owned it, and this time I went all-in with new and donor panel replacement. The body restoration and paint was completed in 2020. It's back to the factory verdora green, but uses a modern 2-stage paint system and it has a little green candy in the clear. It has a built 428 with port EFI, lots of porting, and many good speed parts. The motor is hooked to a Tremec TKO and a Moser 12-bolt. It's loud, violent, and scary fast. We've had it since we were engaged and have driven it all over the country, including four Power Tour Long Hauls. It's in winter storage now, and that makes me sad.

My 1968 El Camino. Was originally a 307 powerglide. Unusual in that it's a factory bucket seat car with a woodgrain sport steering wheel. Now has a 383, turbo 350 & 12 bolt posi with 3:73's. Would love to get it painted! IMG_20210808_083157_01.jpg
