New(ish) Taco owner. Just wanted to drop in and say hi. I bought a 16” TRD Sport back in 19. Just recently started putting some money into it. Need to find a place nearby to get it off the pavement!

Needed a CMC to fit those 285/70/17s

    See attached for the specs….

Nice build. Who did you have do the CMC? They do a clean job? I’m needing one myself.

    Thanks!

Not sure what it’s supposed to look like! Seems like it could be cleaner. And I probably paid too much. But it doesn’t rub anymore! And it’s the shop I go to for everything else. I like them. Family owned place NW of Springfield. Good people so I’m happy to give them business.

I’m headed down with a small group of Jeeps this Saturday (11/27) to RRG for some wheeling. We are meeting at the Cracker Barrel in Cold Springs KY for breakfast at 8:00 AM then caravanning down 27.

    Address:
https://maps.apple.com/?address=4210 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076, United States&auid=5113560446514734445&ll=39.019292,-84.437898&lsp=9902&q=Cracker Barrel Old Country Store&_ext=CjIKBQgEEOIBCgQIBRADCgQIBhAUCgQIChAACgQIUhABCgQIVRANCgQIWRABCgUIpAEQARIkKZCvTtDSgUNAMdMfuilrHFXAOQ6FdCz5gkNAQWd0QrqtG1XA&t=m

Looking to get a Toyota presence in these outings so I’m not always the odd man out! Let me know if you’d like to come… or just show up!

we will make our final stop in Slade before hitting the trails. (Junior Williamson Rest Area, 24 L&E Railroad Pl, Slade, KY 40376, USA)

I'd go but I have an appointment tomorrow morning to get my axle needle bearing replaced with the ECGS bushing. Yep put on an OME 2" lift a few weeks ago and got the grinding/vibration.

I like them, a lot. They’re significantly less harsh and more forgiving than the 5100s they replaced. They also came out of their first winter in much better condition than the 5100s. No rust or discoloring at all on the shock bodies or collars, just a little rust on some of the hardware. I’d highly recommend them over most of the “budget” 2.5” to 3” lifts I see on this forum.

I've rebuilt a fair number of shocks in my day, but I don't have any time to help out, nor do I have access to a minty shaft polisher:lalala: anymore.

Really any good dirt bike repair shop should be capable of a rebuild-revalve, but I wouldnt trust them to recommend a shim stack.

Usually MURS because technically GMRS requires a license, and an approved radio. I believe MURS can use any radio as long as you follow wattage restrictions and bandwidth.
