Do they not work as well as actual Tacoma ones? Do they only work on small inclines? Might just buy those and scrap the Russian fixes

I just haven't parked on anything extremely steep yet. They're great by me for $20. I only bought one for the rear left to check the quality, and liked it so much I replaced my rear right door check as well.

Bumping an older thread...but i can't seem to find this information without taking the other door apart and I just figure I would ask here.

I have a 2015 double cab. and the bolt holding the detent to the door frame seems to have stripped itself out. I need to repair the hole and replace the bolt....but I do not know what size that bolt is.

So my question is what size is that bolt? I am also researching the best way to fix the hogged out hole. The metal seems too thick for a nutsert but not thick enough for a helicoil.

walk to other side of truck, use 10mm ratchet, remove bolt, inspect for all your dimensioning needs. What you find after you remove the "stripped" bolt will dictate how you repair.

The stripped bolt removed itself. I had the side of the truck repainted after an encounter with a mailbox and I think they screwed it up putting it back in.

Thinking that taking off the other side is going to have to be plan a, b, and c.

I kinda wish the nut that is supposedly tack welded in place had just come loose and fallen off. Replacing it with a nutsert is easy.
