Hello everyone, please don't rake me through the coals for this question.
So i ordered a 2022 Tacoma TRD-OffRoad model, it states it comes with a 16x9 wheel size.
Can I put a 16x7 wheel on my vehicle with a 265/70R17 tire and have no issues with rubbing?

It comes with 16x7 +25 offset, not 16x9

Yes. As long as the offset isn't far off.

Find the wheel you like and chances are someone here already has them on their truck. Ask them questions. That’s what we’re here for.

Will depend on offset and backspacing.

+12 offset for example, you will be fine.

I am running -38 offset which will rub with those specs.

Probably a -10 offset so it moves the wheel 1" outside the fender well.

What size tire could you put on if you used a 17" wheel and not have any rubbing? would you please make a recommendation? wheel size and tire, that looks beefy but wont rub or even a 16" wheel size. Thank you for your help and advice.

I went from a car to a truck so I'm not sure about these things on a Tacoma

    265/70/17 (32") or 255/80/17 (33")
both should fit without any trimming.

265/75/16 (32) and 255/85/16 (33) are the same size but for 16 inch rim.

The Alamo doesn't come in 16" and the Yellowstone doesn't come in the Tacoma bolt pattern according to the Black Rino website.

ive got 265/70-R17 with zero offset and was rubbing on the mud flaps so i just removed them. still rub if i hit a decent bump while turning. I have toyo A/T III and was told these are bigger than other tires of the same size.

I am running the same size tire (wildpeak) and wheel and I rubbed pretty bad when turning and hitting a bump. Went with a Eibach stage 1 lift and that took care of it.

    Stock, 4WD, Access Cab, White,

Ummm...... that tire won't fit a 16" wheel. The tire would fit nicely on a 17" wheel.

That wheel (16x7) with the tire (265/70R17) combination won't rub.

265/70-R17 with 0 offset. I was rubbing fairly hard on turns with any slight imperfections in the road.741DBBBA-50F9-4722-B0EC-C8D38687A160.jpg
