Wow! 25 years from a 1984 Longbed Deluxe 2wd, 22-RE 4cyl. 5 speed MT to a 2009 Tacoma Access Cab 4wd 2.7L 5MT brings many changes, including the internet forums. This was the last truck Dad was ever going to order and he had his specifications for the dealer. No joy closer to home, so he wound up checking on Appleway Toyota where I'd found my truck in 1984, and after a couple weeks the helpful young lady called Mom to tell him, "We found his truck." He asked if I was interested in buying it. "When you're ready to sell it." He passed on a year after Mom, and I bought it from the estate. I'm in Idaho, where if you have a truck, you have friends (who need stuff moved). I'm learning about Generation 2... Just bought a late model set of takeoff alloy 16x7J wheels to remount the new set of Michelin 245/75R16s on... Remembering the coil spring hinge lifts on old vehicles, I ordered the RedLine Tuning hood strut lift kit. We like our red vehicles, visible in snow and other weather conditions. 20210907_170815.jpg

Welcome to Tacoma World! Your truck looks great for a 2009! I started with an old one like you: 1982 SR5, 4x4, 2.4L (22R), 5spd man, Std cab, LB. Had that one for 13 years. Then a 2011 GenII, and now a 2017 GenIII TRD Sport, They keep getting better.... :)
