I have a 2012 Tacoma base model 4wd,the metal lines at the steering rack are rotted and leaking. The local Toyota parts department says they don’t sell just the lines, you have to buy the complete rack($2000.00 to repair). I am sure other people in the rust belt have this issue, anybody have a source for just the lines?Any other solutions?

Depends what kind of end they have and if it's a standard size, if it's a standard flare end like a brake line they could be made up with some brake line and a flaring tool.
