I am wondering if anybody has replaced the passenger handle with the keyless entry style thats on the driver side.

Also what is/would be involved with all that and is it possible?

    Id guess it is.

Does the Limited have that handle on both sides?

Driver's side only on the Limited, and it's frustrating.

Exactly. And I'm not super smart with electronics or how they work exactly. I wonder if another model, maybe that minivan, has the same handle on the passenger side.

Maybe someone smart will see this and give input. :fingerscrossed:

Unless you can find another model like mentioned above that uses a passenger handle I think it would be a miserable conversion.

when driving around, it looks like the Highlander handles looks the same, but its hard to tell just in passing. If someone owns both a Taco and Highlander, could you verify if they are the same design. Would be nice to add a passenger side smart keyless entry.

The door handle on our 2014 highlander looks identical, it has a passenger sensor.

I've seen people here talk about possible buying another handle and sensor and lacing it with the current one. Not sure if this would work or if anyone has done it, but it's sounds possible.

@mesojdm was considering purchasing another driver side handle and converting the passenger side but dont know how far he got. I wouldnt be surprised if he could come up with a solution for adding a pass side smart key handle!

Have any of you thought about how your going to connect to the keyless entry system after you install the handle on the passenger side?

check out the link listed above. I had followed the instructions back in 2018 and have had it installed since with no issues. Since then, lots of others have also done it and everyone has been happy with the results.
