Ugh! I had to jump out of the way 5 times while on traffic stops or helping disabled vehicles, got tagged by 2 mirrors. It’s a joke that the flashing lights attract idiot drivers like moths to a flame

Did that for 25+ years, now driving class A fuel, much happier. Hated dealing with boron steel and excessive electronics the most..

Had a customer ask if she could wait while I put new pistons and rings in her car. She expected to be out by lunchtime lol

 

Took me a little adjusting to my new career, Safty guy keeps telling me to slow down,

 

I was never told to slow down in any part of my career

Try being a Auto club tow truck operator , I was one about 20 plus years ago and had many near misses helping stranded motorists

Those flashing amber LED strobe lights attracted many distracted and drunk drivers right towards you and the tow truck . I had one that sideswiped my tow truck almost hitting me

Yeah, something about "old people suck, they don't like me!" goes a long way to describing the situation.
