    Or they stick, my passenger side one does occasionally. That said, since OP's issue is on the driver's side I surmise it's time to replace.

    Real easy to remove. One bolt and it's out. Probably just clean the contact points and lubricate the pin.

    Replaced the driver-side door sensor, which fixed the issue. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
