I love having my tonneau cover during winter. Just pushing the snow off of it and still able to use the dry bed is a great thing.

The instructions don’t even apply to a Tacoma, don’t make sense, and don’t work.

 

I can't stop noticing the rubber seal in that video is peeled up on the side.

 

ive watched a few install videos, including that one,, installing mine this am. i have not seen any other installs with the rubber bumped up.. pretty simple looking, might wait thill later this am, so its beer time and install time..lol

 

Supposedly a few hours out in the sun will flatten them out. Also a hair dryer and if you are extra careful a heat gun will help to get them to lay flatter.

Best to wait till spring or summer to put hard folding covers on.

 

took me about 30 minutes, to install mine this morning rubber is perfect, makes the truck look taller,, nice clean look.. i like it

yes the directions that came with it, are not the right install directions for a 2017 tacoma.. but i watched a few utube install videos.. quite simple install..

also my luck, it was missing one of the small screws, the goes threw the buckle and threads into the female part..

guess people cant count to 4...lets try it. one...two...three...four. screws.. now i have to call and have them send me a screw,, 800.00 you would think they could get it right.. i really like the cover tho... its the little things that irritate me.. but one gets used to it.. happens every day.

 

I would take one of the screws to my local Rural King store and find one like it in the 40 or so fastener drawers they have. Wouldn't be worth the aggravation fucking with Bak or whomever for one little screw. But that is just me...

 

Yeah I was thinking the hardware section at Home Depot or Lowes would have something.

 

yea im going to look today, before calling BAKFLIP, i found a couple in my screw pile, but threads are differant.. it needs to be black, but i can just paint it.
