Making slow progress but getting wires ran and lights mounted.

Awning mounts and Hi Lift mounts are also finished.

More tedious wiring BS accomplished today.

Ran the wire for the 2 charging outlets, the aluminum plates will be painted tomorrow.

    20211204_165401.jpg

You can also see the cargo area light, in the center.

Mounted the rear view camera and ran the wires.

    20211204_165425.jpg

Secured all the wires and protected them by running them through rubber fuel lines.

    20211204_165534.jpg

All the power and grounds, for the back half of the truck, will be made up in a compartment in the bed rack between the wheel tubs.

Finished up the rock lights. Thinking I'll use them camping more than in the actual rocks.

50 bucks on eBay... I'm happy with them. Figuring these will be basically wear items (damage from debris etc) Better to replace cheap rock lights than replacing expensive rock lights

    Saturday was epic!

Looked like a great turn out for the Toy Drive

We headed up the hill and regrouped at Stumpy Meadows.

Then a few of us headed up even further...

@Fernando got a bit out of shape

But he redeemed himself with some hammer down action.

Finally, we made it to a nice spot at Loon Lake, Gateway to the Rubicon Trail.

Jen and I stopped back in to Georgetown to stay at a little historic bed and breakfast.

Today was a good time too. Did a nice drive back from Georgetown to Sonora by way of Highway 49. Taking our time through some pretty historic towns.

Definately better than driving down 99. lol

I've always thought these pockets/bolt holes looked unfinished and dumb.

    IMG_20211215_0001.jpg

So, I figured out a way to cover them

    20211215_172646.jpg

    20211215_173855.jpg

Still need to finish wiring them. But it's dark, I'm cold, and that's about as much motivation as I have this evening.

I made up my mind on what I'm doing for rear leafs.

Picked me up a set of brand new used ones yesterday.

    +4 inches with +700 pounds

They've got a bunch of surface rust, but not terminal cancer. Nothing a wire wheel, rust inhibiter, and some paint can't fix. lol
Everything on this truck is second hand and refurbished... keeps with the theme.

    Today's project... leaf springs

Robert hit them with a wire wheel to get any loose dirt and rust off.

    20211218_105838.jpg
    20211218_105849.jpg

We hit them with some rust inhibitor primer

    20211218_110759.jpg

Letting the heater help us out and then we'll hit them with a couple light coats of gloss black chasis paint.

Pro tip... You're wife will be extremely happy when you do this job on her kitchen counter. Especially during the Holidays.

Just tell her you're just trying to spend more time closer to the family.
