I’m wondering about the same, the quick handle. Not that it’s an issue, but it would be easier. My rack is on my daily more than anything and the hitch sits low, so it’s not just a quick grab and pull. I may look into this a bit and see what it entails.

But like you, I leave this on daily unless I’m going somewhere I won’t be using it. then it gets stored on my FJ in the garage.

That EZ handle is on my want list, just not a must have currently. Yea I need access to my bed far too frequently to leave the hitch on full time.

But the ebike has been a lifesaver. I can still get bigger rides in in under 1.5 hrs. Sure , I can use my normal bike and get a ride in, but I’d only get half the fun (the downhill).

You answered it yourself. The Paradox of MTB right now is better/more capable bikes = harder trails. So these new trails are optimized for those longer and slacker bikes that are very stable at high speeds. With that being said, as a novice rider you probably won't even notice the marginal gains. Those Polygon bikes probably work just fine!

    Right?? It's too easy

Just shoot me a PM. I’d be happy to work with you. Christmas is a busy time of year for metal art.
Can’t figure out what to get someone. Just get metal lol.

So my riding buddy picked up the new 2022 Trek Top Fuel 8 and it's a freaking ripper. Also amazing value at $3800. Only issue we've read up on and he is seeing on his is bushing play on the Rockshox SID fork but they'll be warrantying it.

We could use your services for trail signage here in Knoxville.

I have heard of that before in some places, but IMO, any shop refusing to work on direct to consumer bikes is in my eyes STUPID. Why turn down a customer, who you could potentially make a lifelong customer? Maybe the next time they need a bike, your great service experience will make them buy through you?
That is one fucking beauty! Congrats and enjoy!

Send me pics of the signs and I could do that.
Rather it be basic trail name, mile marker, etc.. could add a little mountain silhouette or just say Baker's Creek at the top of all of them.

I can put small 1/4 or 3/8 inch holes in them to screw to a post or tree.

got my hard tail out for a ride this weekend. had a friend from out of town come through and took him out on his first mtb ride. i let him pedal the hard tail up then ride my patrol down, so i was descending on the hard tail.

and im glad he came out. i prob would be hesitant on riding it since i have my patrol, but it was a lot more fun that i expected. for sure need to get a dropper, fork, handle bars and a stem for it now. the fork on it now is so old and i did not take care of it, its pretty much rigid lol

Classic mountain biker move... put the friend on your nicest bike and insist that it's no big deal

...then the friend goes home and probably tells his wife, "that was the nicest bike I've ever ridden; I'll bet it cost a thousand dollars!"

    no doesn't look too familiar.

first guess would have been somewhere near buffalo creek. watching more makes me thing somewhere south of vail.

the description says trinidad? maybe somewhere west? not too many trails out there.

or it could be a joke like all the FB guys saying the big jump lines are out in Limon.

i can't say for sure though

I've thought about cutting these out of steel and putting on trails, but some people would probably get pissy.

The gray is steel, and the white would fall out. Hope that makes sense.

We're rolling with the same truck and bike now (including colors)!

Does anyone happen to have V2 OneUp dropper shims they aren't planning on using? Also anyone have experience with modern Magura brakes? Thoughts?

Over the last few years I've put a new handlebars/stem, dropper, and pike on my hardtail and it completely transformed it. Only problem I had was I started riding it like it was my Rallon and broke many spokes and then a wheel. It's so much fun to take out as a change of pace!

    totally get that.

i was pushing a bit too much on my second lap and kept slamming my back tire down. had to remind myself to take it easy since theres a tube in the tire and no rear suspension.
