So far for additional damage, they found that my composite bed is cracked on the backside behind the cab. I’ll be getting a new one.

On a side note, I noticed my rental is an off road 4x2. It doesn’t have MTS or Crawl Control. I also don’t think it has a low range gear. At least I can’t find the switch for it.

I didn't want to be negative, but I could almost guarantee this would be the case. The tailgate just took the impact, but it resonated throughout the entire truck, and it was hard enough to send his away in a tow truck. My guess is they find a lot more stuff once they get into it.

Yea something didn’t add up from how much visible damage his truck had how little mine had. Its making sense now.

Matter of fact, I'm betting if the tailgate was up you would have way more visible damage.

Got my truck back. Everything looks good, I got a brand new bed and tailgate. The only strange thing I noticed is that both of my brake lights were out. I pointed it out to the body shop and they looked at it and found that both the bulbs were burned out, they replaced them and it’s all working now, but I find it highly unlikely that they both burned out at the same time. I just had the third l brake light recall done and the 20k maintenance done about a week before dropping it with the body shop and they didn’t say anything about it and I hadn’t noticed that the brake lights were not working. I do check out the lights on mine and my wife’s vehicles usually when I detail them to make sure everything is working. I’ve had most light bulbs last for 4-5 years. I’ve never had anything burn out in 2.5 years before. What are you guys getting out of your OEM bulbs?

They probably just forgot to connect them and didn't want to admit to it.
