What's a reasonable price for a 2005-2011 hood with hood scoop?

I just scored one for the equivalent of $320 US, a guy in the area did a front clip swap to a 2012-2015 style (seems like a lot of expense to do so).

I was shocked when he told me how much he wanted, it seems remarkably inexpensive.
It's going on my access cab 2011.

That price doesn't seem great, but it also doesn't seem insane. I see some people asking $500-800 for hoods (although these are typically newer ones). But I also fairly regularly see $200-500 ones for sale. Being a Tacoma noob I was blown away at how much a used hood goes for in the used marketplace. Baffling.

not about to sell the hood off my car and drive without one nor the shoe off my foot to limp barefoot

if you're interested in spending $300 on obstructing your field of vision with a false non functional hood lump, to see less off roading, it's your personal choice

Not only that but it seems the angle of the scoop causes a glare to the driver because a lot of people complain about that glare and they'll put flat black on the scoop to reduce the glare. All for something fake, I don't get it all. It's probably to "keep up with the Jones'" which is also probably why I don't get it. Plus there seems to be some sort of trend to put as much easy to bolt on crap on Tacomas as possible.
