    Hey all,

Just got a fog light kit from Hella. I have a couple quick electrical questions that were not easily found in the install instructions.

    1. Relay-what does this diagram on the relay tell me which wire goes where?

    2. Any idea what this little blue connector is for?

    Pin 85 is Ground
Pin 86 is Power from your dash switch
Pin 30 is Power from your battery
Pin 87 is Power TO your fog lights

The blue thing is called a Scotchlock, it is used to make highly unreliable connections between two wires. You will see that one channel inside of it is continuous for your "source" wire and the second channel has a "stop" built into it where you insert your piggyback wire. If you use a lot of them in your build you will never have another free Saturday afternoon....you will be chasing intermittent electrical faults. Since it is blue it is intended to be used with #16 to #14 wire.

    Back to your reply,

What would be a reliable connection for the one power wire from the relay to connect the two power wires for both lights?

Crimp two #14 wires into one of these. Terminate each wire into the positive terminal or wire for each fog light and plug this connector onto #87. The yellow female spade connector is intended to be used with one #12 or one #10 wire, but it will work fine with two #14's.

Actually, one of these would be better. Same thing, just fully insulated.
