Iowa to be more specific. 'Just a simple man trying learn something new about the Tacoma. I don't own one, but am impressed with their following and their reliability. New ones are cool, but old ones are more interesting. Always keeping an eye out for something that catches my eye, be it a 4x4 taco or a Nissan D21. Don't worry, I will not try to make any claims that the D21 can compare. They just have a soft spot in my heart as I used to have a four-door Pathy with V6 manual when I was just a wee lad. To be as specific as I want to be, I am from NW Iowa
It is hard to believe the gem that I have found. I bought a 1996 regular cab, 4x4, manual, V6 with 73K original miles. It is my daily driver. Have already put about 4K mile on it. What a pleasure. Very little complaints. I need to replace the leaf springs as one is broken, and I haven't got around to the spraying fluid film on the underside yet. After that I don't know what to spend money on? New wheels? Headlights? Upgrade the suspension? I have read that people really like the short shifters? Supercharger??? I think I am starting to figure out how people can spend so much money on these trucks...
