Lol I know. However, it never let me down. Had bought it brand new. The head gaskets failed under warranty and out of warranty. Toyota covered them both times. Other than that it was just regular maintenance. Was well maintained and sold it after 14 years of fun and adventure. Couldn’t believe how much I got for it 14 years later.

Out of the three 3vze motors I had, 2 blew at 180k, the other was a rebuild that lasted till I got rid of the truck. I had a 90 4runner and a 92 pickup.

The biggest thing I hated on those trucks was the vacuum system, everything was vacuum operated.

New wheels and Tires. I am loving the color combo, wanted something other than black and bronze. What do you think?

KD Max tune, OEM Pro grille w/ four amber lights that turn on with DRL lights, OEM 5” nerf bars, OEM double crossover roof rack, Bilstein series, 285/75R16 TOYO Open Country A/T III’s on 16x8 FN Fx Pro Wheels in matte black (incl. spare) with Gorilla black spline lugs, TRD Pro skid plate, OEM chrome tailpipe, TRD Pro gear knob, Meso gasshole V2, chalk bag hydro flask holder, Bakflip MX4 topper, Spiker hood struts, OEM bed step, OEM TRD Pro tail lights, all chrome replaced with cement interior, Meso black out ultimate turn signals, stage 1 tail light kit, the elusive TRD start button, AJT cement radio knobs, all Meso ultimate LED dual color interior lighting, OEM power tailgate lock kit, OEM black chrome exhaust tip and other mandatory taco nerd accessories
So I ordered the harness (R4T) to run my grille lights with my DRL’s. They said if you have a 2020 and the DRL’s are on and make the L shape, which mine do (instead of the C shape) then they will fit. They did fit the DRL light plug and both adapters worked on the harness. Then I got to my grille lights which are the water proof ones with the yellow water tight fittings (see pics). The harness won’t connect into the grille lights but worked on everything else. The adapter for the lights don’t have an open slit that is needed to fit the existing lights. They have an oval white plastic housing on the adapter and need to have that slit cut on the side to fit. I’m going to switch the existing amber grille lights out with the smoked amber which are still bright, just not as bright as the regular amber lights I have on my Pro grille now. Besides, I broke off one of the amber lights metal prongs so one of the lights doesn’t work now. This is how my projects usually go. :frusty:

I have one that is mostly used for road trips. I was skeptical but the radenso I have only picks up BSM from certain Mazdas. BMW and the other notable ones it ignores.

    COOL Stuff I can't afford . . . But I bought anyway!
I'm thinking about switching to those Alpha Rex Led's, but I'm concerned about light output. How satisfied are you with the beam/cut off pattern and overall lumen output? I've heard the Luxx are not as bright as the projector Alpha's. If you could, maybe post a pic of the light output at night?

    And BTW, NICE RIG!!!!!

    Thanks!
Light isn't bad, about 1.5 what my stock projectors with LED bulbs put out. I just personally like the TRD look better than the quad setup. I'll try and get a pic next time i drive in the dark. Im off this week, so my ass is sleeping in. Lol.

Love that voodoo blue on yours!

Install was simple. Remove stock radio, steal brackets from OEM radio, install radio. This unit has wireless CarPlay. It works pretty good, sounds much better than the OEM unit imo

    Ok about the Radar thing.
I was driving down 130 in central Tx. Speed limit is 80 mph. I set the cruise control at 77 because Allstate Ins and their drivewise bitches at me.
OK I was listening to the radio and I call her bitching Betty that interrupted and said "Radar dedicated half mile to the right".
Sure nuff DPS was right there.
WOW, I didn't know my Taco can do that.

You add that Glass Break Sensor yourself? I was going to, but when I looked through the install instructions it looks like the module is mounted on one of those screw studs under the steering column. IIRC when I had that open for my trailer brake install, those studs were occupied with something. Figured the 2021s just didn't have the room for the GBS but it looks like you and I have the same truck...so I'm curious if you ran into any issues installing it.

How the hell is a glass break sensor not part of the alarm system in 2021???? Feel like this is something I need to add

Got mine for $306 last week from the same location in NY. (Saved $94) Lou is great with status updates!

Bought more stuff from Prestige for my taco including bed mat, bed lights, and alloy wheel locks.
