Painting grill in a Sport hood scoop?

    Mine needs to be repainted (the black small grill in the hood scoop of a sport hood). Rather than painting it back black I have toyed with painting it a different color like red! Anyone ever tried it? Any pics?

    Mine is red. I'll try to get a picture today. That grill part pops out from the back side too....don't remember the details on "how to", but I know it comes out because I would have never bothered to mask off the entire hood just to paint it otherwise :)

    It was blue for a while, then red...you can see it needs to be repainted, but the odds are slim at this point :)
