I keep having people/family ask me if I've been working out. Like no, just doing normal human things instead of sitting on my ass all day and night...even though my job requires me to sit on my ass 8 hours a day lol

When I was in France the food was super fresh, no preservatives and everyone was walking. Most people were quite healthy looking though they did smoke and drink a bit. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was not eating dinner till 8pm+. I fast all day so when it's 5-6pm I want my dinner and my beer.

    YUP!! :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Oh, I totally agree! I'm a carnivore and I would eat steaks for every meal if my wallet would allow it. I was just saying that for the 75% of the USA that is already overweight, cutting it out could help.

I noticed the same thing. Few overweight people in France.

That changes when you get into Germany though...

And talk about eating late, in Buenos Aires they don't eat dinner until almost 10:00.

It took me a bit to get used to that.

Cutting out soda and eating out would benefit most

Yes sir! Soda is only good with cheap liquor and ice

I had a friend that lost 30lbs by ONLY cutting out soda. That's wild!

When I went to Germany, I couldn't believe how many people were on bicycles. The food there also seemed better than here. And having a beer anytime of the day is normal there.

I spent a week there for Oktoberfest in 2011 and we started drinking as soon as we awoke and didn't stop till we fell asleep.

Lots of junk calories in sodas and energy drinks - not to mention various juices.

Then there's the lattes and frappes and myriad syrupy flavored creamers folks drink with a little bit of coffee added.

Glad I like my coffee black.

Beer is made from malted barley.

Grape Nuts, long considered to be a healthy breakfast cereal, is also made with malted barley.

Therefore, beer for breakfast is healthy.

I don't like Grape Nuts. But it's been 20+ years since I've last had it.

Haven't had it in years, since I rarely eat cereal these days, but I remember it was pretty decent mixed into yogurt.

I suspect its lack of popularity is due to it being one of the few cereals not laden with sugar.

For me, it was because gravel was softer and has a better taste.

    This.

The last time I ate Grape Nuts I could've sworn I was eating a bowl of asphalt.

On the bright side, you can mix it with a little mortar and repair your sidewalk.

I was probably around 13 the last time I ate it. Back then it reminded me of cat food.
