Heads Up To Those With LED License Plate Lights

    Just heads up, keeps an eye out for you guys with aftermarket LED license plate lights on eBay, AliExpress or Amazon.

    Noticed my passenger side license plate had been flickering the last few days, so whatever ordered another set. Still waiting for it to come in.

    Come this evening, all of my dash lights and parking lights are not working. Check the fuse and it was the fuse. Go to the rear, license plate lights are not on and I can smell the electrical fire/short.

    The result…

    Passenger side, no signs of flickering or anything at all.

    This usually happens if you fail to twist in the connector like you’re supposed to, to prevent water from getting in and shorting the terminals.
    dielectric grease helps with that as well

    ive got a set of these. had for 2 years. no issues. but im sure there are plenty of companies making these. so could be anything from poor components to bad quality control.
