Is there any merit to changing your differental fluid immediately upon purchase?

    I changed mine at 170,000. It looked fine. That was 50,000 miles ago.

    I read comments and post and do not look or care who posts them. Guess now I’ll be looking for yours to jump on, lol. Razorbacks are spooked easily- who knew?

    rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
    Adding an additional magnet would be more beneficial than changing the fluid.

    Fluid does "break down" with time and temperature, but that is not of great concern in the diff. Metallics are a concern, and magnets get them out of circulation.

    Finding crap on the plug should be a relief, not a cause for alarm. Unless the crap is filled with large pieces that can not be accounted for.

    Changed my rear diff at 10 and 30k, front, manual and Tx at 30. No cause for concern for any of it
