Going on two months for me. Diggin the buttons on the steering wheel, and overall layout of the interior. Being able to call and speak to text while driving is awfully nice. Never really used that before with my phone, would wait until I stopped.

Had to get into it a couple times to pass or merge, damn it is quick! Not sure why people say it is under powered. Did own a couple 22R powered trucks, this thing is like a rocket-ship in comparison.

The Hilux v6 in the early 90s only put out 150 hp, it’s cool how much this 2tr-fe has been perfected imo and how much hp(159) and torque it produces bone stock. A few bolt ons and you’re pushing 170+/-.. it’s a modern truck with an old school feel.

Remember those old trucks trying to pass on the interstate, “I think I can, I think I can….ahh forget it”

This one gets it done in a hurry

Like look better sans flares, but bought the SX package to get them, since I drive down a lot of dirt and gravel roads. Figured try and save the paint as long as possible.

Are those the OE fog lights? I'd like to add some. Was it just plug and play?

Nope, they are this super cheap kit from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WR23ZXV?ie=UTF8

The plastic light surrounds fit okay-ish but well enough they haven't come off for several months now and some decent bumps here and there, but they feel just a little wiggly compared to the factory plastic pieces. Everything works and no functional issues so far. I haven't seen any moisture inside the light housings despite lots of rain, although I don't know how these would hold up to going underwater if you were getting into some serious water or mud. The wiring harness and switch were surprisingly good for the price and the switch fits into the unused switch slots nicely. I did purchase a fuse tap to use in addition to the wiring harness to make that part of the wiring a little more convenient but that isn't strictly necessary as I understand it. I figured I'd keep these a while and do LED's later but these have been more workable than I expected so I don't really feel any urgency which is pretty high praise for such a cheap kit in my opinion. Getting the wire through the firewall was the hardest part, although it was the first time I've done that and I'm sure it's no more difficult with this kit versus anything else you'd wire up.

Depending on year you can do full plug and play, but need to replace the light stalk. I did it, very glad that’s how I went. The light even comes on the dash like stock.

the harness and light stalk I ordered from Toyota, the lights and bezels were an Amazon kit. It came with wiring and a switch but I didn’t use them.

If your on the fence you can score whatever wheels and tires tickle your fancy for $1500 or less. I added oem parts like foglights, bed mat, bed lights, header rail. Some non-OEM parts like seat covers, mud flaps, grille lights, and interior nick nacks. All less than 2k. For me..... the SR was really the ONLY truck that was practical. The modest upgrades I did make turn it around from a grandpa mobile to a pretty sharp looking rig. That being said. The SR isnt everyone's cup of tea

Hello all, Does anyone have a pick of just the fog lights on at night. I was wondering how much light they give and the pattern of the light. Thank you very much if anyone has a picture of that.

Guess it depends on how you wire them. My DRL have to be on in order for my foglights to operate. I hooked everything up as it comes factory even the stalk. You could potentially gain full control without drl if you wired them differently.
I also guess it depends on which lights you get. I grabbed a set of gently used offroad OEM lenses off a 2019 My son got the LED Offroad OEM lenses off a 2020. The ones that coMe on the SR5 are not wide angle and take different bulbs. Not sure what the sport has. So there are different strokes for different folks. I can tell you they dont provide a substantial amount of light alone.... they do allow me see perephially into the woods much better than headlights alone on unlit wooded roads.

    No worries

Not that this helps, but this is a rainy day pic of my foglights (headlights are on). Like I said. I have the non led offroad lenses and they are painted yellow with transparent glass paint (probably doesn't help for brightness, but it certainly does seem to in overcast and foggy conditions). They dont cast a bright or distant beam(although they appear bright in the photo), but they really do help identify perephial objects that the headlights simply dont cast a beam on. Saved me from clipping a deer or 2.

The factory lighting leaves much to be desired. My 20 year old first gen was about the same as this new truck, so it is what it is. My headlights were out of factory spec off the lot, adjusting them properly helped quite a bit with seeing at a distance

Love your truck, and I think you hit the nail on the head. Here's my before and after with just a change of rims and tires (and foglights and other bits you can't see from this angle that made a big difference for cheap).

    Right on.

Proof in these pictures that you really dont need to spend upwards of 40k to get a descent looking rig packed with modern technology/safety features that's capable of handling trips to home depot and some weekend adventures.
If your not looking to get hardcore then a nice set of alloy wheels and a thicker set of meats take an ordinary pickup and transform it into a really eye pleasing truck.
I couldn't really justify going beyond the SR package for my needs. I would have grabbed a bearded utility package and saved another
$1750 if I didnt absolutely need the jump seats.
